Commercial Flood or Nonresidential

As a business owner, you know that protecting your building and contents is vital to its survival. Your business is either in a high-risk or a moderate-to-low risk area and insurance premiums vary accordingly.

The commercial policy has higher limits of coverage than that of the residential policy with coverage up to $500,000 of insurance to protect your building and up to $500,000 to protect its contents. Many businesses require coverage limits much higher than what is available through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), in these case we can write excess flood insurance in excess of you NFIP policy.

If your building is located in a moderate-to-low flood risk zone, generally there is a 30-day waiting period from the time you pay your premium and complete your application until the policy goes into effect. The exception is for those who are in high risk zone and hold a federally insured loan.

Commercial Preferred Policy
For commercial buildings located in moderate-to-low flood risk zones, the Preferred Risk Policy offers insurance coverage for building and contents at considerable saving over the Standard Flood Insurance Policy
